Has Coldplay Turned Christian? (Part 2)
Music Buzz
So the cover veil that shrouds this intriguing puzzle is lifted a little bit. An article that discusses in more detail the possible Christian association with the album lyrics can be found here. The idea that one of the most popular bands in the world could possibly have turned Christian is an extremely powerful event to consider. Satan knows the importance of capturing the minds and hearts of the youth and how much power that would grant him over everything else. To control the southern kingdom of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar marched on Jerusalem and carried away “…some of the children of Israel and some of the king’s descendants and some of the nobles, young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking…” (Dan 1:3-4) These were the celebrities of the kingdom, those that the rest would look up to, and they were taken away to live and serve in the king’s magnificent palace in Babylon, to learn the language of the Chaldeans, and to indulge daily in the king’s delicacies. If it was OK for the beautiful noble youth to be Babylonian, then the rest would think so too. That is the ancient formula to conquer and control. Satan has always used this same principle in capturing our youth through our celebrities and our musicians. If he controls Hollywood and the Music Industries of the world, then that would grant him possession of the world.
This was an extremely important concept that Adolf Hitler maintained as a major agenda. One of the most important functions of the Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth) was to prepare the youth for membership in the Party and its formations.
They would be taken at the age of 10-14, entered and indoctrinated into the Hitler Youth, and would then join the SA, the SS, and the other formations. While addressing the Hitler Youth at the Nuremberg Rally (Reichsparteitag) in 1935, Hitler proclaimed: “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the Future!”
Coldplay turning Christian would upset the balance of power that Satan has control of. It’s like a nuclear arms race, and Coldplay is that weapon of mass destruction that both sides are fighting for. It would be a great victory if the amount of influence that Coldplay possesses could be used for Jesus, instead of distracting away from Him. Has Coldplay turned Christian? We don’t know. So what’s left for us to do? We should pray for Coldplay. That would rock.
